GENKI JAPAN | THE VERY AUTHENTIC JAPANESE CUISINE
It is no longer something new to have Japanese restaurant in Johor Bahru. However, it is always a big news that one is serving authentic Japanese cuisine, as it is very rare to have such restaurant in Johor Bahru. Well, Genki Japan is one of them which certainly worth your visit.





虽然坐落于角头的店面,但是也不难发现元气 – 纯白色的室外装潢和招牌,和周边的店面形成了很大的对比。一踏入店内,里面尽是日本式的居酒屋装潢—木桌和木椅,开放式的烹煮空间,当然还有就是能让大家和厨师略聊一二的吧台啦!单单从室内装潢,就已经仿佛置身于日本的居酒屋了呢。

Though it is located at corner lot, it is not hard for you to spot Genki Japan – white color external painting which form contrast with the adjacent lots. As you stepped into the restaurant, you will be surprised by how similar it is to the in Japanese izakaya – wooden furniture, open food preparation area and the bar counter that you can chit chat with the busy chef. Being here is just like being in the Japanese izakaya , doesn’t it?

据日本籍的老板所说,元气日本料理的原公司是一家在日本成立了62年的包办婚礼和葬礼事宜的公司。由于来到新山的他一直找不到正宗好吃的日本料理,所以就决定在新山开一家日本居酒屋。其实,在国外开料理店是老板的兴趣之一,主要是为了让更多的人能够吃到正宗的日本料理,而新山的元气日本料理则是在马来西亚的第一家。

According to the Japanese boss, the company of Genki Japan is a well-established 62 years old company in Japan which specialized in wedding and funeral matter. Back to the years when he just came to Johor Bahru, he couldn’t find the authentic and tasty Japanese cuisine; this is why he decided to establish a Japanese Izakaya in Johor Bahru. In fact, it is his hobby to establish Japanese restaurant oversea so that everybody from all over the world can get to enjoy the very authentic and delicious Japanese cuisine.





曾经的钓鱼小童,今日的料理大厨
说到料理,自然少不了在厨房里为大家准备美味一餐的厨师啦!元气日本料理的厨师说得上是把一生都用在料理中—从小就爱钓鱼的他,每次都把钓到的鱼拿来制作料理;从开始的普通烤鱼到极为考刀工的刺身,这就是厨师从小一直不断累积的料理经验而练成。所以,千万别看厨师年纪轻轻,因为他已经比同年龄的人多出了十多年的料理底子哦!单单从厨房端出来一碟碟色香味俱全的日本料理,恰恰验证了厨师的手艺。
