看到上列BBQ BOX 串烧工坊的时间线,是不是觉得非常不可思议呢?从位于新加坡,一间不起眼的烧烤店居然可以在短短9年之内在新马两地一共开了5间分店!其实,现在火红的BBQ BOX 串烧工坊,源由是来自于一个不起眼的小档口。

远自于中国东北 | 串烧的美味
40年前,在中国东北的小城开了一档十几个平方厘米的露天烧烤,而这家烧烤档是属于店家的叔叔。店主也非常喜欢叔叔的串烧。

FROM NORTH EAST CHINA | THE SKEWBARBEQUE
40 years ago, an open air barbeque stall had been opened somewhere around Northeast of China. The owner of the stall is BBQ BOX owner’s uncle and he likes the BBQvery much.

过后店主南下新加坡,由于太想念家乡的传统食物,便决定把烧烤引进新加坡并于2008年在呀龙开了自己的第一间串烧工坊BBQ BOX。这样以来,除了自己可以过一过瘾,更可以与更多人分享自己那思念中的美味。

After the owner moved to Singapore few years ago, he missed his hometown traditional food badly. For this reason, the owner decided to establish the first BBQ BOX at Geylang, Singapore to satisfy his taste buds and share this heavenly food with others.










酒吧风格串烧工坊 • 立志成为东南亚第一
在BBQ BOX 串烧工坊,你看到的尽是酒吧风格的装潢。除了火烧砖,周围更是能看到一幅幅中国画风的海报和图画。加上顶上挂着满满酒杯的吧台,让客人能在轻松,舒服又浪漫的环境下边吃烧烤边喝酒,享受欢乐时光。

THE BAR STYLE BBQ BOX • AIM TO BE THE NUM 1 IN SOUTHEAST ASIA
At BBQ BOX, you can see the interior are designed like a bar. The authentic brick walls are hanged with poster and drawings of China drawing style. Together with the bar counter that having wine glasses hanging on top, it can make the customers to fully immerse in the environment of carefree, comfortable and romantic while enjoying the deliciousness of the skew BBQ and liquor.

把串烧引进新加坡之后,店主并没有把其水准停留在同一个等级。他也意识到一个串烧要受到本地居民欢迎,串烧的口味也必须做出调整来迎合东南亚人民的口味。也就是因为这样,BBQ BOX 串烧工坊的串烧才能长年备受顾客喜爱。

The owner deeply understood that a food must be localized in order to be popular. Hence he adjusted his skew BBQ’s flavor to match the taste of Southeast Asia so the people there will like it even more.

同样的,充满创造力的店主永远都不会停下脚步,还不断地推陈出新,研发更多新的菜色好让顾客能够大饱口福。除了口味,店主也慢慢地集团化及系统化BBQ BOX 串烧工坊。他也计划于明年在新加坡设立中央厨房,把食物准备方式完全统一标准化。此时他也寻找更多的人才及研发团队一起合作,为的就是成立和打造东南亚人民皆知的第一品牌串烧。

Even though BBQ BOX is being a hit at Singapore and Malaysia, the owner never stops at one achievement and he always invents new cuisine to satisfy his customers. Other than this, he is planning to systemize and incorporating BBQ BOX. He even plans to establish a centre kitchen at Singapore so that the food quality and taste can be standardized. This is why now he is so eager to look for talents and research team to work hand to hand – building the number one skew BBQ brand in Southeast Asia.








各式各样让人难以抗拒的美食
在BBQ BOX 串烧工坊,有的是各式各类让人垂涎三尺的美食。就拿BBQ BOX 串烧工坊的镇店之宝—串烧来说,店主只采用吊炉烧烤。店主的吊炉烧烤是改造于东南亚的烤鸭炉,唯有这样的炉能够生产出温度均匀的烧烤。搭配上木炭的火焰来烧烤串烧,这样就能保持水分和避免水分流失,更能锁住食物香味,每一口都能让人口齿留香,欲罢不能。这里的串烧除了肉类之外,还有许多新鲜的蔬菜和海鲜任君选择。店主表示,在店里每个桌子都有放蒜头,因为这是传统中国人吃烧烤的必备食材 – 除了杀菌之外,还可以让烧烤类的味道进一步升华。

IRRESISTABLE FOODS AND FOODS
At BBQ BOX, there is nothing but mouth watering delicacies. For skew BBQ instead, the owner is using hanging furnace to make his grilling. This furnace is being transformed from the roasted duck furnace of Southeast Asia. By combining this furnace and the fire of charcoal, it can produces the BBQ with minimal moisture loss and retain the original taste of the food as well. Other than meats, there are vegetables and seafood for you to grill and enjoy. The owner has stated that every table is ready with minced garlic as the traditional way of eating skew BBQ is to eat it with garlic. Garlic is pretty impressive in enhancing the flavor of the BBQ and of course, being an excellent anti bacterial agent.

如此优质的串烧,怎么能少了酱料的衬托呢?对于酱料方面,店主一点也不马虎。每样串烧都会搭配上老板特调的酱料与口味,让美味在顾客的口里溢出来。老板有表示,他用来准备食材的调料粉一共含有15种以上的调味品。新鲜的食材搭配上这风味十足的调味粉,肯定能满足你的味蕾。此外,他们用独特秘方熬煮而成的自煮酸梅汤是为了爱吃烧烤的你而准备。吃烧烤时搭配上酸梅汤,除了可以去油腻开胃,更可以促进消化。

Once said, an excellent skew BBQ is nothing without sauce. This is why the owner never neglects the importance of flavorful sauces. He even says that the seasoning powder that he uses on the BBQ is made of 15 types of different seasonings material, pretty impressive doesn’t it? Other than this, the owner has prepared the unique sour plum soup for the customers to remove the greasiness of the food and enhancing your digestion system in the same time.









当店楼下在热烘烘的烧烤着美食的时候,楼上有的是别具一格的迷你小火锅店。他们采用的是中国传统方法熬制的汤底,味道极为鲜甜。顶级的传统汤底搭配上高级新鲜食材,又会擦出什么样的火花呢?
在串烧工坊,他们有东南亚首创的东北干豆腐皮。这美食是老板东南亚首创东北干豆腐皮是老家传统小吃,是利用大豆压制出来。东北干豆腐皮是纯绿色食品,不加任何色素和防腐剂,对健康有益之外还非常的美味,它也能当成火锅汤料。

While you are enjoying your charcoal burning BBQ downstairs, there is a mini steamboat shop upstairs. They are using the most traditional way of Chinese soup making method to boil the soup, producing the superb soup with heavenly taste. Well, you may imagine the tastefulness and deliciousness of the combination between superb soup and superior quality food material right? Besides, BBQ BOX is the first to sell Northeast dried bean curd crust at Southeast Asia. This indifferent, yet tasty dried bean curd crust is originated from the owner’s hometown and it is made from soybean suppression. Northeast dried bean curd crust is green food without coloring and preservatives hence it is very healthy and delicious at the same time. It can be even used as steamboat foods.







川味麻辣面是串烧工坊首创的手工面,特点是在于它吃起来有弹性有口感,搭配上那火辣辣的麻辣汤,这独家自作的川味麻辣面肯定能让你吃了赞不绝口!虽然说,水饺到处都有卖,但是在马来西亚的水饺很多都是工厂制作再批发给各大小店面。串烧工坊的水饺可是大厨亲自调配其馅料 – 利用虾仁,韭菜和鸡蛋制作出独家的三鲜水饺。

The Sze Chuan Spicy Noodle is the handmade noodle exclusively made by BBQ BOX. Its bounciness and texture is just perfect when being boiled and eat together with the spicy hot soup. Nowadays, dumplings are everywhere but most of them are being made in factory and then wholesaling to the shops. BBQ BOX is so different as their dumplings are being made by the chef and the fillings are being formulated exclusively by the chef – shrimps, chives and eggs are the core materials of the Sam sun dumplings.





至于饮料方面,到了串烧工坊必点的饮料有他们的自制现磨豆浆和果汁,保证原汁原味,绝不添加香精和防腐剂。老板也表示他们日后会陆续增加更多品种的酒让顾客喝得尽兴。除此之外,店主也有批发干豆腐皮及手工冷面,有兴趣订购的民众可以联络老板以获知更多详情。

About their drinks, you must try their fresh grind and make soy drink and fruit juice as you might not be able to find such drink (totally without essence oil and preservatives) elsewhere. The owner has stated that they will increase the types of liquors available to satisfy the need of customers.
