身在新山的你,会不会也有想要品尝六百多公里以外的槟城美食的冲动?如果有的话,现在你不必大老远赶到槟城了哦!位于新山Taman Austin Heights,就有那么一家槟城美食坊,里面卖的都是道地的槟城美食,让那些想要吃道地槟城美食的新山人不必到槟城也可以一尝槟城的风味!
槟城美食坊的老板,本身是一名槟城人。爱吃槟城美食的他,希望能让身在远处的新山人也能吃得到槟城的美食,所以就在新山开了一家有“槟城的味道”的槟城美食坊。这里以Penang Laksa, 福建面(虾面),cendol,沙庖肉骨茶和炒粿条等等为主打的食物。

Hence, he decided to open LS Restaurant, a place where you can enjoy various kinds of scrumptious Penang foods, such as Penang Laksa, Penang Hokkien Noodle, Cendol, Bak Kut Teh, Penang Fried Kueh Tiao and so on.

Penang Laksa
说到槟城,每个人第一时间一定会想起那酸酸辣辣的Penang Laksa。也有人这么样说过,“去到槟城,没吃Penang Laksa就等于没去过槟城 ”。在槟城美食坊的Penang Laksa和道地的Penang Laksa味道一样让人垂涎欲滴。让你胃口大开、酸酸的Asam,巧妙的搭配上热辣的小辣椒,再融入进浓郁的鱼汤,单闻它的香气就足以让你有想把它一口吃下去的冲动!不像一些Penang Laksa,这里的鱼汤都是用新鲜的鱼熬煮而成,所以这里的Laksa不仅没有腥臭味,反而还带有一丝丝鱼鲜甜的味道。
Penang Laksa
When we are talking about Penang foods, the sour and spicy Penang Laksa will straight away appear in our mind. Some says, “If you never tasted Penang Laksa, it’s just like you never been to Penang”. The Penang Laksa at LS Restaurant is actually identical to the Penang local Laksa. The sourly asam, which is so appetizing, combining with the spicy chili padi and the umame sweet fish broth, making the plain and ordinary rice noodle to taste heavenly. The aroma of the fish broth is so good that you can hardly sniff the fishy smell. There is no secret to make this tasty broth but a lot, a lot of fresh fish bone under the slow heating process.


 
炒粿条
另外一个“去到槟城,没吃到就等于没去过槟城”的食物,就是驰名的Penang炒粿条啦!和南部的炒粿条不一样的是,Penang炒粿条用的粿条是河粉,比较细致。再来就是搭配上鲜虾,蛤蜊,豆芽,再用猪油把所有食材的香气都带出来!当然,这里的炒粿条也是一样让人吃了停不了口,吃了第一次以后就难以忘怀的槟城美食。
Penang Char Kueh Tiao
Another must try Penang food that you can find at LS Restaurant. This fried kueh tiao is different from the kueh tiao of our state. It is basically made of the "hor fun", which is a tiny thin version of the thick kueh tiao, giving us a finer and better taste. Together with fresh shrimps, clams, bean sprouts and the most importantly, pork fat - striking out the aroma of the materials and blend the tastes with the hor fun.
 


福建面(虾面)
千万别把槟城(北部)的福建面和我们南部的福建面给混淆了哦!南部的福建面是黑漆漆的,但北部的福建面可是由鲜美无比的虾酱和虾高汤熬煮而成,是两种决然不同的美食。这里的福建面的高汤,是由新鲜的虾,长时间慢火熬煮而成,所以虾的香味非常扑鼻。而本来已经鲜美无比的虾汤,再搭配上包含着虾精华的虾膏,让入口的黄面充满了鲜甜无比的虾味!
Hokkien mee (prawn noodle soup)
Hey, don't get confuse with the Hokkien Mee of the southern region. The Hokkien Meeof the North is actually prawn noodle soup. The yellow noodle, which is being cooked in the prawn broth is going to smack your lips for sure. The broth is made of fresh prawn under slow heating; together with the prawn paste is making your every bite full with the sweetness and fragrance of the prawn!
 



  
肉骨茶
肉骨茶,是大马华人的骄傲。因为这是华族南下后,在本土独创,令人食指大动的平民美食。顾名思义,肉骨茶是由猪骨头和药材所熬煮出来的汤头,再搭配上香嫩无比的五花肉,排骨,内脏,香菇,蔬菜,等材料炮制而成。这里的肉骨茶可是下重材料,每一口都是真材实料。另老板骄傲的是,他们的肉骨茶不油也不腻,单单用汤底捞饭就可以吃上好几碗饭,每逢雨天或冷天更是客人们必点之菜肴。
Bah kut Teh
Bah Kut Teh, the popular cuisine that Malaysian Chinese should be proud of as it is being invented by the Chinese ancestors after they arrived at Malaysia decades ago. In mandarin, Bah Kut Teh actually means “meat, bone, and tea”, the soup stock is being prepared by boiling the bone with Chinese herbs under slow heating. In fact, the soup become irresistible when it is combined with the dishes such as pork belly meat, pork ribs, pork internal organs, mushrooms, vegetables and so on. The Bah Kut Teh at LS Restaurant is just like the one at Penang and the boss says that he is not going to reduce any of the material’s amounts – just to get the customers to taste the very authentic Bah Kut Teh of Penang! This cuisine is the must-order-cuisine by customers, especially during rainy or cold days.


Cendol
槟城著名的甜点,非Cendol莫属啦!Cendol是一种类似ais kacang的甜点 – 细细的刨冰,淋上浓郁椰子味的椰奶,加上包含班兰香气,青色的Cendol,淋上独特风味的马六甲糖糖浆,再放入红豆等配料就完成啦!Cendol的灵魂,就是它的马六甲糖浆和Cendol了,这里的Cendol都是以天然班兰制成,香气逼人,入口即化,是备受大众所喜爱的本土甜点。
Cendol
Cendol is a kind of Penang famous dessert. It is somewhat similar to ais kacang – delicate shaved ice, with the greenish pandan flavoured cendol, red beans and others, poured with thick coconut milk and fragrance melted Gula Melaka on top. There is no secret to make a savoury cendol but the cendol which made of natural real pandan extract and the authentic Gula Melaka. Of course, you are not able to resist LS Restaurant’s cendol, especially the moment when it melts in your mouth and releasing the rich aroma of coconut fragrance and sweetness!
