If you ever feel like you’re not yet done for the day even after a tiring day at work or school, here are some of the places you can visit to spend the remaining day!

1. Battery Factory


Once an Eveready battery factory,Battery Factory also known as Kilang Bateri is where you can shop till you drop around for locally made clothes, books and vintage accessories. You will also be able to witness the number of hipster cafes with band performances, creating a chill environment where you can “lepak”. You can check out their mini indoorskate park if you’re more into rigorous activities. If you’re in need of a haircut, you can definitely get one here as there are a barber shop right inside the building. They’re the hipster type of barber shop that also provides shaving services!

Operational hours: Daily 12pm to12am.


2. M2 Cafe


Are you a big fan of Mickey Mouse? Then you’re just in luck as the M2 Café has Mickey Mouse décor,figurines, cupcakes and food-inspired making you overload with the cartoon fav!It is also a good place for the little ones as they will surely be amazed by the Mickey Mouse collection. Come over if you’re die-hard Mickey fan. Don’t forget to snap a few shots for your Insta-feed too!

3.  Meldrum Night Market


Meldrum Night Market is located right behind JB Sentral where you can find plenty of Malaysians chilling at their favourite local hawker stalls. From Malaysia’s heritage food Apam Balik to the Hokkien hand-pulled noodles Mee Hoon Kueh, variety of popular dishes such as wanton mee, char kway teow and oyster omelette are sold in this night market.If you are in search of traditional Malaysian street food and are up for a gastronomic adventure, then head over to Johor Bahru’s Meldrum Night Market.

4. KSL Monday Night Market 


KSL Monday Night Market is one of the must-go locations if you are in town. Stretches all the way from KSL Shopping Centre to Grand Paragon Hotel,this night market sells mouth-watering tidbits too! There are stalls selling food such as carrot cake and char kway teow, there are stalls selling items such as tau huey in brown sugar and palm-sized paos. They have everything from the classic marble cake to pandan chiffon, a favourite of Singaporeans.

Directions: Head to KSL (33 Jalan Seladang, Taman Abad, Johor, Malaysia) and the night market will be right in front of Cofffee Bean

Opening Hours: Only on Mondays, 5PM-9PM



5.  Bazaar Karat

Bazaar Karat is a bustling night bazaar that is a must-visit for visitors looking preloved items,clothes, shoes, beauty products, simple electronics and of course your midnight snacks. Located from Jalan Tan Hiok Nee to Jalan Segget. This markets have visitors all the way to midnight as the night goes on. There will also be street performers or buskers entertaining you as you stroll through the market and shop.

Monday to Friday: 6pm – 12am

Saturday to Sunday: 7.30pm – 12am
